This is a heartwarming story from an extremely grateful person who has improved his lot in life by overcoming a controlling, debilitating addiction, bringing him to this stage in which his pardon is most definitely warranted.

A young fellow had a clean record until he went on a kind of “crime spree” over a few months. Unable to recall specifics about everything he was charged with, finding it quite embarrassing to even talk about, eight years later, he clearly realizes that it was all fueled by the drugs he was addicted to back then.

After beginning one year of drug rehabilitation, he was released early for doing so well. He then started his life over. Since his conviction, he has become a home owner, managed a flooring store, owned his own business, and is now in sales/management in the family business. He has been attending church regularly and becoming involved in activities there. Keeping active with his family is also very important to him. Living a normal life and making good, decent friends, he is continually trying to make positive changes to improve himself and his family.

His record suspension has allowed him to expand his career path. Many higher paying jobs require a criminal record check, which is now not an issue. Also, he is able to travel with family to other countries. And maybe the most rewarding benefit is being able to close the door to that dark time in his life, try to forget it ever happened. Peace of mind!
