When I was very young, I got in a car accident that nearly ended my life. I had been drinking heavily, and got in a severe car accident that left me with a traumatic brain injury. I lost my right peripheral vision because of it, and I can no longer drive. I lived for so many years in regret for what I had done, and the consequences that my body paid because of it. Slowly I picked myself up again, I completed Back on Track, paid my fines, I no longer drink, and I’ve made leaps and bounds in terms of personal recovery. All I want to do now is give back to the people that has sheltered me at my worst and helped me heal and put my past behind me. Now with my record suspension I can, and I’m a regular volunteer in my community.
