“I was convicted of a DUI 15 years ago. I had been working out of town and had come home for a few days, and my friends and I decided to go out and celebrate. We had been out late, and the next morning when I got in my car a police officer pulled me over because he saw me swerving in the parking lot. I blew over at the police station. Since that day my perspective on drinking has changed immensely, and I really realize the consequences of drinking and driving, especially with understanding how long alcohol can take to leave your system. I have my own business now, and own a home so I’m protective of my assets. I don’t want alcohol to be a problem again, ever. A record suspension provided me with a clean slate to volunteer within my community and feel safe and comfortable with filling out any job application.”
