Check your Record
A criminal record can hold you back in work, career, family, volunteer work and travel. Do you know what people see when they check your record?
A Certified Criminal Record is your official record. This is what the RCMP store in the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) database. This record shows your complete record, including:
In order to obtain this record, you will need to get your fingerprints taken.
Currently, the RCMP is posting a 120 day waiting time to receive this document.
This document is also requested as part of our main services:
- Canadian Record Suspension
- US Entry Waiver
Does your record show up? We can help:
- If you have only charges on your criminal record, we can ask the arresting police force to destroy your fingerprints, photographs and any other information you gave at the time of your arrest. We will also ask them to remove your record from the CPIC system.
- If you were granted an absolute or conditional discharge, we can ask the RCMP Purge Unit to destroy your record.
- If you have convictions on your criminal record, we can apply for a Record Suspension (pardon) on your behalf. Once granted, the information on your charges will also be sealed.
This is a certified criminal record check. Our service fee for the check is $150. For a criminal background check our service fee is only $49. Our 24-hour process will confirm whether or not a record exists based on your name and date of birth.
